MINISTER GASANA CHALLENGES THE YOUTH TO UPHOLD VALUES AND PLAY PART IN CRIME PREVENTION
The Minister of Interior, Hon. GASANA Alfred has challenged the youth to uphold positive values and play part in preventing crimes and sustaining security.
“As you are the strength on which the country is counting, I challenge you to team up with us to build a secure country by upholding the values that distant you from activities that threaten our security and playing part in crime prevention”, the Minister said.
He made the call at Police Training School in Gishari, Rwamagana District on Friday 22nd July 2022 where he gave a lecture on “Internal Security and the role of the youth in sustaining security” to the committees of youth volunteers and National Youth Council from the Western Province who were in a five-day capacity building training. He also presided over the closing of the training.
The training that took place at the Police Training School in Gishari, Rwamagana District, brought together 279 youth and was organized under the theme “URUHARE RW’URUBYIRUKO MU KUBAKA U RWANDA TWIFUZA”, (the role of the youth in building the Rwanda we want).
After closing the training, the Minister visited different parts of Police Training School-Gishari (PTS-Gishari) including ongoing construction projects.
