MININTER Expands Community Policing Skills Through Nationwide Training Program
Today,16 March 2026, in Musanze District, the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with Rwanda National Police and the ICT Chamber, conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) session for members of community policing structures.
The training aims to enhance the capacity of participants to prevent and combat crime more effectively, equipping them with modern skills and knowledge to address evolving security challenges.
This initiative marks the beginning of a nationwide rollout, with similar trainings set to take place across all four provinces and the City of Kigali. The program underscores the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening community-based security and fostering collaboration between citizens and security institutions. By empowering community policing actors, authorities seek to reinforce proactive crime prevention and ensure safer communities throughout the country.
