MININTER URGES MINES AND QUARRY OPERATORS TO COMPLY WITH THE LAW GOVERNING THEIR ACTIVITIES
On Thursday 26 September 2024, MININTER conducted a workshop with companies in the mining, quarrying and civil works sectors that use explosive materials & fireworks. The aim was to address the issues identified during joint inspections carried out by MININTER, RDF, NISS, RNP, and RMB in May 2024
The workshop was officiated by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Sesonga Benjamin, on behalf of the Minister of Interior. In his remarks, the PS expressed gratitude to the participants and emphasized the critical importance of adhering to legal requirements in mining and quarry operations.
During the workshop, participants reviewed and discussed the provisions of Law No. 072/2024 of June 26, 2024, which governs mining and quarry operations, to ensure full compliance in their day-to-day activities.
