The Ministry of Internal Security was formed grouping together, the National Police and Prisons with a perspective of efficiently giving appropriate solutions to requirements of the Rwandan Society in perpetual mutations. The formation of this Ministry is a clear indication that the High Authorities of this country put in issues of security and peace at the centre of governmental priority programmes. Competions between Ministries
6 February 2012  Within the competition between Ministries organized by The Prime Minister Office, the foot ball team of the Ministry of Internal Security played against the football team of the Ministry of Infrastructure this Friday February 03 th 2012 at Kicukiro Stadium. 100 prisons officers to undergo intensive training
4 February 2012  Prison warder at a past function. 100 warders are expected to undergo a two month training programme to sharpen their skills. 100 prisons warders on Thursday (31st January 2012) started a two-month training programme on professionalisation of their services. Police officers complete a two week reintegration course
31 January 2012  150 police officers today completed a two week pre deployment orientation course at Police Training School (PTS) Gishari. The course was aimed at reintegrating police officers back into their normal policing duties after returning from a United Nations Formed Police Unit peace keeping mission in Haiti. Loiterers arrested in Musanze
30 January 2012  22 people were yesterday arrested in Musanze district after police mounted a cordon and search operation. Nineteen of them did not possess national identity cards while the rest were found in possession of illicit drugs such as cannabis and chief waragi.
